We all know the Atheleisure trend has been super hot lately. While it’s been great turning our loungewear into fashionable outfits, there’s still been a call for active wear that you can actually wear to exercise.
Of course – we’re all about looking good while working out, but there’s more to good work out clothing than you might think. From needing wicking materials to help draw away sweat, to making sure the fit is flexible enough for when you stretch or bend, there’s a lot to take into consideration. If you’ve been struggling to find great plus size active wear, the search is over! This year State of Mind and OBD Clothing will both be at The Curve Fashion Festival, providing you with some amazing active wear.
State of Mind offer sports, casual and swimwear in sizes 14-to-28. They pride themselves on manufacturing everything in the UK and using the best materials possible. For them, it’s all about making sure the fit of their items are on point to make your work out better. They’ve thought about the small things like higher waistbands, longer length backs and pockets. What’s more, they’ve just launched a petite range to make their active wear even more inclusive. We’ve chosen a few of our favourites from State of Mind. We’re in love with the cyclamen ballerina wrap. It would be perfect for a summer BBQ or an evening with the girls. Of course it would be perfect for the gym too!
OBD have just launched their new curve range of customized slogan clothing. With a slogan to suit everyone, and over 100 colour combinations to choose from, they’ve come to inject some serious fun and colour to the plus size active wear market. They have extended the sizing of their standard range and added some curve specific slogans too. Ranging from sizes 18-to-28, we’ve chosen some most wanted pieces and colour ways from the collection. ‘For Squat Sake’ is definitely one of our favourites.
It just goes to show, plus size work out clothing doesn’t have to be boring! Look out for State of Mind and OBD at this year’s festival. Get your running shoes on if you haven’t got your tickets yet, they’re selling fast!
